Artist Spotlight: Sanna Annuka Illustrator & Print Maker

27 May

Sanna Annuka is an illustrator and print maker with a love for nature and folklore, with an English and Finnish background. Annuka graduated with a BA Hons in Illustration from the University of Brighton in July 2005, with silkscreen printing as a specialty in her final year.

After a very lucky sale of one of her prints to a friend of British band Keane at a shop in in Islington, London, her very first commission was to illustrate Keane’s second album ‘Under the Iron Sea.’

Her bold graphic prints now adorn such items as home furnishings and Marimeko kitchen products and interiors. Her crisp colorful patterns are timeless. Walk into a home goods store and there is a 50/50 chance you will see Annuka’s work.  Here are some samples…

Visit her web shop to purchase her products and see more of her work. You can also find her items on CB2, AlwaysMod and FinnishGifts
