Nastplas are two illustrators and freelance designers that hail from Madrid, Spain. Dr Franken (as he is called) and his wife Natalia. She is an interior designer and the art director of Nastplas and he also works as a computer developer in electrical engineering.

Together they conducted their studies in the art school of Salamanca and Valladolid. They went on to create the site nastplas.com five years ago to showcase their art around the world.  Dr Franken does the illustrations and the artistic portion, while his wife Natalia gives a nod to the work. Together they form a great artistic team.

Here are some examples of their gorgeous digital artwork:

Artist Q & A:

What are your creative influences?

I am inspired by everything around me; the cinema, the street, internet, and especially dark environments and black color. I’m a fan of dark art.

Which are your favorite pieces you have done?

Each piece has special meaning for me and I give them the same importance. Each was performed at a different mood and I like it that way.

What are some projects you are currently working on?

We are currently working on some projects with clients and a few surprises that will be arriving soon…

Which other digital artist’s do you admire?

I’ve always found exceptional the work of Salvador Dali, an inexhaustible source of inspiration.

Visit the Nastplas website to more of their projects. A lot of people dislike automatic music that plays on websites, but the loungey tune that plays is really enjoyable. In fact we left it on in the background for a good 10 minutes.
