Architecture and Sculpture Come Together In This Netherlands House

Rocha Tombal Architecten who designed this Bierings house, brought together form, function and sculpturing to produce an amazing architectural piece of art.

Walls don’t end where you would naturally expect them to so furnishings need to be thought out. The house is surrounded by greenery, therefore just about every room has a gorgeous view.

Physical layout of the house was adapted to the explicit wishes of the family. On the ground floor, where social interaction and lively place, the kitchen and the children’s rooms connect with the garden located. On the floor, which can sit quietly and where people can withdraw, are the living room, study and bedroom.

The routing through the house is determined by sight lines toward the light windows in the exterior sculptural manifest as large bay windows, the “eyes”.
